Wexford is a beautiful coastal town in the south-east of Ireland. Known for its history, heritage, and scenic beauty, it has also become a foodie’s paradise in recent years. With its rich culinary heritage, Wexford has seen a surge in new restaurants and cafes, offering a diverse range of cuisines and dining experiences.
Among the many new additions to Wexford’s dining scene are 10 West Bistro, CDMX Mexican Restaurant, and La Vista Café and Restaurant. In this blog post, we will take a closer look at each of these dining establishments and what they have to offer.
10 West Bistro: A New Dining Experience in Wexford Opened in August 2021, 10 West Bistro is one of the newest dining experiences in Wexford. Located on the outskirts of town, it offers a unique blend of modern and traditional cuisine, using locally sourced ingredients to create a menu that is both delicious and sustainable.
The restaurant’s interior is stylish and elegant, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes it the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Whether you’re in the mood for a light lunch or a romantic dinner, 10 West Bistro has something for everyone.
Some of the standout dishes on the menu include their signature seafood chowder, made with fresh fish caught off the Wexford coast, and their slow-cooked pork belly, which is succulent and full of flavor. The restaurant also has an excellent wine list, with a variety of wines from around the world to complement your meal.
CDMX Mexican Restaurant: Bringing the Flavors of Mexico to Wexford If you’re in the mood for something spicy and exotic, then CDMX Mexican Restaurant is the place to be. Located in the heart of Wexford’s town center, it offers an authentic taste of Mexico, with a menu that is full of bold flavors and vibrant colors.
The restaurant’s interior is bright and colorful, with murals and artwork that transport you straight to the streets of Mexico City. The menu features classic dishes like tacos, burritos, and enchiladas, as well as some more unusual dishes for us europeans like mole.
One of the highlights of CDMX Mexican Restaurant is their extensive tequila and mezcal selection, with a variety of different brands and styles to choose from. The bar also serves a range of classic Mexican cocktails, like margaritas and palomas, as well as some unique creations of their own.

La Vista Café and Restaurant: The Newest Addition to Wexford’s Dining Scene The latest addition to Wexford’s dining scene is La Vista Café and Restaurant, located at The National Opera House. With stunning views over Wexford Harbour, it promises to be a premium café experience, with a real emphasis on service.
La Vista Café and Restaurant is the brainchild of Paul Cullen and Craig O’Toole, the owners of 10 West Bistro and CDMX Mexican Restaurant. Drawing on their experience from their other successful ventures, they hope to create a pre-show dining experience that is both elegant and memorable.
The menu at La Vista Café and Restaurant is still under development, but it promises to be a blend of classic dishes and innovative creations. The café will be open from Monday to Saturday, serving breakfast, lunch, as well as hosting events and corporate catering engagements:
